what do anarchists think of...
...digital communities, such as anarchists, as a simulacrum of the public sphere in general and/or 'real-world' anarchist communities?

What do you think the impact of (re)creating such spaces/relationships is upon the ancient Greek notion of parrhesia (honest, unpopular speech)? Do you think parrhesia and anarchism even relate to one another?

how do you think the various ways in which one may participate in the digital community--anonymously, using a pseudonym, or using one's real name--informs or changes the manner in which one interprets another's words? do any of these forms of presenting one's self online make parrhesia easier or more difficult to achieve? do other aspects of one's account (profile picture, journal entries, info page, etc.) influence the success or failure of attempts to persuade through parrhesia?

This is for a research paper I'm working on, and although it is mostly written, I thought it might be helpful to simply ask these questions openly and see what people think... feel free to answer any and/or all of them. the concepts of simulacrum and parrhesia are intended more for those who want the specific context I'm working with; if you aren't familiar and don't feel like reading up on them, feel free to rephrase the questions and answer as you see fit (finding a balance between how people actually speak and how one is often expected to write can be a pain in the ass).

depending upon how many people respond, these questions may be revised and then x-posted to anarchists at a later date.

Question 1: What do anarchists think of anarchists?

Question 2: What do anarchists think of what anarchists thinks about anarchists?

Question 3: What do anarchists think about recursion?

All of these questions are serious. Except for questions 2 and 3.

Myers-Briggs test
I have been wondering lately about where anarchists maybe fall under with the Myers-Briggs personality test. I am placed in the INFP area and curious about others. Would be kind of interesting just to see if there are some similarities generally perhaps.

What do anarchists think of this? (It's a text cloud--a visual representation of how often words are used--for each presidential state of the union speech in American history.) Personally, I found it quite intriguing.

What do anarchists think of Transhumanism?

Transhumanism: (sometimes symbolized by >H or H+)a term often used as a synonym for "human enhancement", is an international intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of new sciences and technologies to enhance human mental and physical abilities and aptitudes, and ameliorate what it regards as undesirable and unnecessary aspects of the human condition, such as stupidity, suffering, disease, aging and involuntary death. Transhumanist thinkers study the possibilities and consequences of developing and using human enhancement techniques and other emerging technologies for these purposes. Possible dangers, as well as benefits, of powerful new technologies that might radically change the conditions of human life are also of concern to the transhumanist movement.

What do anarchists think of Halloween? Is it a holiday wherein the upper classes placate the lower classes with candy, thus setting back The Revolution (TM)? Or does it celebrate The Revolution by celebrating the Freedom (TM) to wear silly clothes?

Inquiring minds want to know!
